The materials include documentation of experiments on mass spectrometry imaging of Aloe vera leaf cross section by LARAPPI/CI MSI (laser ablation remote atmospheric pressure photoionization/chemical ionization mass spectrometry imaging) and 109AgNPs-LDI (109-silver nanoparticle-assisted laser desorption/ionization)-MSI and UHPLC-UHRMS (ultra-high performance liquid chromatography - ultra high resolution mass spectrometry) analysis of Aloe vera leaf extracts using a Bruker Impact II instrument in positive and negative mode.LARAPPICI_MSI.zip: file contains spectral and spatial data generated during the LARAPPI/CI-MSI analysis of A. vera leaf cross section imaging. The data is in .d format and can be opened using an open-source R package that is freely available.LDI_MSI.zip: file contains spectral and spatial data generated during the 109AgNPs-LDI-MSI, including the .jpg file of the imaged imprint. The data can be opened using an open-source R package that is freely available.LCMS.zip: file contains folders for negative and positive mode analysis, including three measurement repetitions. The data can be accessed using the free OpenMS software.
