Spartina alterniflora root tensile strength, diameter, length, and above-ground height on Sapelo Island, GA (October 2024)

This dataset contains Spartina alterniflora data collected from Dean Creek Marsh and Teal Marsh on Sapelo Island, GA, USA, during October 2024. Data includes root tensile strength calculations and values, root length, root diameter, and above-ground height of Spartina alterniflora. Data were collected along a transect perpendicular to the marsh edge at 0, 2.5, 5, 10, 20, and 30 meters. The dataset also includes site attributes, collection time, and weights used for tensile strength calculation.
