Data for Drought Variability under Global Warming

This dataset contains the processed outputs of the study on SPEI variability across European climate regions, derived from CRCM5-LE simulations and ERA5-Land reanalysis. CRCM5LE/ — Ensemble-mean water balance fields (wb_<region>_em_1999_2062.nc) for eight European regions (al, bi, ea, fr, ip, md, me, sc), plus the global warming level time series (annual-warming_historicalGHG_1959-2090.txt) and the model orography (topo_EUR-11_CCCma-CanESM2_OURANOS-CRCM5.nc). Individual ensemble members are available from the ClimEx project (https://www.climex-project.org/data-access/). results/ — Fitted GAM objects (gam_model_<region>_<scenario>_<timescale>.rds) and extracted calibration parameters (month_mult_*.rds, spat_eff_*.rds, year_baseline_*.rds) per region, scenario (PRES, GWL2, GWL3), and SPEI timescale (wb1, wb3, wb12), provided as R serialised objects. wb_bounds/ — Gridded SPEI bound fields (wb_<region>_<scenario>_bounds.nc) in NetCDF format, giving the fitted lower and upper SPEI distribution bounds per scenario and region.
