BCURE Training Needs Assessment Data

The BCURE-Harvard training needs survey was designed to assess the attitudes, practices, and skills with regard to applying data and evidence in the work of mid-career and senior civil servants in India and Pakistan, as well as to shed light on their decision-making contexts, barriers to evidence use, and preferred training content and formats. Data were collected from the following training cohorts: Pakistan – National School of Public Policy (NSPP) Mid-Career Management Course 16—Lahore (48 respondents, paper-based survey, 93.8% response rate)—February 2014 Mid-Career Management Course 18—Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi (119 respondents, paper-based survey, 96.0% response rate)—October 2014 Senior Management Course 16—Lahore (70 respondents, online survey, 78.7% response rate)—December 2014 India – Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) Phase IV (51 respondents, online survey, 91.1% response rate)—June/July 2014 Phase V (56 respondents, online survey, 52.5% response rate)—October 2014
