Literature of Coupled Relationship in Landscape Patterns and Hydrological Processes

This dataset includes the 198 relevant publications on interacting landscape patterns with hydrological processes in RIS format. These documents, primarily peer-reviewed journal papers, were searched through the Web of Science and Scopus databases. The following search term was used: TS= (“surface water” OR “groundwater” OR “soil moisture” OR “soil water” OR “hydrolog*” OR “hydrograph*” ) AND TS=( "landscape* pattern*” OR “landscape* structure*” OR “landscape* metric*” OR “land pattern*” OR “land* structure*” OR “land metric*” ). The initial search yielded thousands of eligible papers (n=7772), searched on June 6, 2023. We read the titles and abstracts of these papers and assessed whether they discussed interactions between landscape patterns and hydrologic processes. We excluded many irrelevant and unrelated articles (n=7574) in this step. The remaining 198 papers were then downloaded and screened according to the following criteria: (1) A variety of studies discussing coupled relationships and providing information on at least one variable (landscape or hydrologic), (2) involvement of changes in past periods rather than modeling future scenarios.
