These earthquake data contain broadband seismic wavefield recordings,
as recorded by a temporary array placed in the Trans-antarctic
Mountains during the summer of 1999-2000. The experiment was carried
out jointly between Institute of Geological & Nuclear Sciences (New
Zealand), and Australian National University (Australia), with
logistics support from Antarctica New Zealand, and instruments from
ANSIR.
Some details of this array experiment are presented in the Terra
Antartica publication: v9(1), p41-46 (2002). The array operated
between November 1999 and end-January 2000.
The raw data is continuous, in Orion-recorder format.
We have transferred segments of these recordings into SEED format, and
subsets of the SEED format data into SAC format (especially for times
corresponding to teleseismic event arrival times).
