Dataset for dental microwear texture analysis of wild mammals (Amami rabbit and Ryukyu long-furred rat) from Amami-Oshima Island, Japan

This dataset was used in the publication entitled "Feeding ecology of the Amami rabbit (Pentalagus furnessi) and the Ryukyu long-furred rat (Diplothrix legata) inferred from dental microwear texture analysis" in "Mammal Study".

"Amami rabbit_60x60 cut SUR files & analysis MNT files.zip" includes 160 surface scans after trimming (60x60) in ".sur" format and 160 surface texture analysis files in ".mnt" format. 

"Ryukyu long-furred rat_80x80 cut SUR files & analysis MNT files.zip" includes 74 surface scans after trimming (80x80) in ".sur" format and 74 surface texture analysis files in ".mnt" format. 

".mnt" files can be opened with Mountains Map ver. 9 or later.
