Fishes fauna of Tonle Sap Lake, Cambodia by environmental DNA metabarcording.

Tonle Sap Lake, located in Cambodia, is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. In the rainy season, various types of flooded forests spread on the waterfront that are supposed to be an essential habitat for freshwater fish. The flooded forests are declined over the last 50 years, and it is urgent to search forests that are important for conservation of freshwater fish. However, microscale fish fauna is difficult with previous capture surveys. The goal of this study is to find flooded forests that are important for fish habitat by comparing fish fauna by eDNA among flooded forests.
