This dataset contains numerically generated correlated disordered patterns for metasurfaces and their simulated optical scattering responses. The structures consist of cylindrical or ring-shaped dielectric scatterers with a constant refractive index n = 3.5 and height h = 200 nm on a substrate of the same material. The dataset explores how the optical scattering response changes as the spatial-frequency content is controlled in single and superimposed metasurfaces.
The dataset is organized around comparing the collective scattering response of the metasurface to the forward-scattering efficiency, Qscat, of a single nanoresonator.The term "CLR vs Qscat" is used throughout the dataset as a naming convention for this comparison. It does not correspond to a directly stored variable in the data files. The raw simulation outputs contain wavelength-resolved power quantities (e.g., source power, transmitted power, and far-field power).
The analysis and visualization of the collective response (CLR) are performed through post-processing using the provided Jupyter notebooks and Python functions.
Qscat is provided separately as a reference dataset for isolated scatterers.
