Transcriptomic Analysis of Nitrogen-Cycling Microbes Across Soil Depths in Chinese Terrestrial Ecosystems

This study provides transcriptomic insights into the nitrogen-cycling microbial communities across soil depths in Chinese terrestrial ecosystems. Using RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq), we analyzed the gene expression profiles of nitrogen-cycling microbes at 0-20cm across a range of terrestrial ecosystems in China. The goal was to investigate the functional roles and abundance of microbial genes involved in nitrogen cycling, including denitrification, nitrification, nitrogen fixation, and other related pathways. Data generated from this project will enhance our understanding of microbial contributions to nitrogen cycling under varying soil conditions and environmental factors.
