To further analyze the gene expression patterns in denervated muscle atrophy, we have employed whole genome microarray. Overall design: The rats were randomly divided into the sham and model group. In the sham group [The sciatic nerve was exposed, and then the skin was sewn and disinfected]. In the model group [The sciatic nerve was exposed and disconnected, and then the skin was sewn and disinfected]. The tibialis anterior muscle was collected from rats in both groups at different time points (0.25 h, 0.5 h, 3 h, 6 h, 12 h, 24 h, 3 d, 7d, 14 d, 21 d, and 28 d) after denervation.
