Abbreviation: FPG, fasting plasma glucose; 2-h PG, two-hour post load glucose; TC, total cholesterol; HDL-C, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol; baPWV, brachial–ankle pulse wave velocity. Data are expressed as mean ± SD or number (percentage). Status of tea consumption: 1) None or low, defined as non-habitual tea drinkers, a drinking habit less than one year or a daily tea drinking amount ≤150 mL per day for at least one year; 2) Moderate, defined as daily tea consumption between 151 and 450 mL per day for at least one year; 3) High, tea consumption >450 mL per day for at least one year. †p<0.05, for ANOVA. §p<0.05, for Pearson chi-square test.
