Effects of drinking hydrogen-rich water on the intestinal flora of night-shift nurses

In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, 56 night shift nurses meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria were randomly divided into a Hydrogen-rich water group(HRW) and a pure water group (Water). The HRW group consumed 1,000 ml of hydrogen-rich water daily, while the placebo group drank 1,000 ml of pure water over 4 weeks. Lipids, glucose, insulin, uric acid, creatinine, inflammatory markers, and fecal gut microbiota were evaluated at baseline (week 0), week 1, and week 4. Metabolomics and gut flora analyses examined the impact of hydrogen-rich water on the quality of life and gut flora of night shift nurses.
