A Partnership approach for controlling nonindigenous aquatic nuisance species in the Great Lakes

The following final report (September 1, 1995 - February 29, 1996) is being submitted by the Great Lakes Commission to the National Ocean.ic and Atmospheric Administration under the terms of the lnterjurisdictional Fisheries Act grant, 'APartnership Approach for Controlling Nonindigenous Aquatic Nuisance Species in the Great Lakes (Grant No. NA26FI0306-3). Section 1203 of the Nonindigenous Aquatic Nuisance Prevention and Control Act of 1990 (P.L. 101-646) calls upon the Great Lakes Commission to establish the Great Lakes Panel and to assist the Panel in coordinating research, monitoring, control and information/education activities that will minimize ecological and economic impacts of aquatic nuisance species, with high priority given to the zebra mussel.
