Mitochondria have a leading role in the initiation and progression of colorectal cancer. A proteogenomic analysis is profitable for better understanding of pathogenesis of the disease and discovery of new targeting genes, but such comprehensive examinations on mitochondria of colorectal cancer patients are lacking. We investigated global structural variants, DNA methylation, chromatin accessibility, transcriptome, proteome, and phosphoproteome on human colorectal cancer. The proteogenomic description of mitochondria, and potential upstream regulatory genes were uncovered.
