Pyrogenic carbon and other soil physico-chemical characteristics in a small agricultural watershed in the west of France

This is the dataset associated with the article Lebrun Thauront et al. "Subsoils, but not toeslopes, store millennia-old PyC in a gently sloping catchment under temperate climate after centuries of cultivation" accepted for publication in Biogeosciences in December 2025. The file Lebrun_Thauront_2025_data_corr.csv contains data on soil carbon (including pyrogenic carbon by two methods, CTO-375 and HyPy), soil chemistry and soil texture, for 16 sites located along three transects in the Coët-Dan watershed (Naizin, Britanny, France). The file Lebrun_Thauront_2025_metadata.odt contains variables description.
