Genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS) was used for single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) identification from two economically important obligate plant pathogens, Pseudoperonospora cubensis and P. humuli. The overall purpose of this study was to collect and utilize genomic data to further investigate the genetic differentiation of these two closely related species. The characterization of genes containing SNPs differentiating these two closely related downy mildew species may contribute to the development of improved detection and diagnosis strategies and improve our understanding of host specificity pathways.
本研究采用基因分型测序技术(Genotyping-by-sequencing,简称 GBS)对两种具有重要经济意义的义务性植物病原体,即假霜霉(Pseudoperonospora cubensis)和豆霜霉(P. humuli),进行单核苷酸多态性(Single nucleotide polymorphism,简称 SNP)的鉴定。该研究的总体目标是收集和利用基因组数据,进一步探究这两种密切相关物种的遗传差异。对含有区分这两种密切相关霜霉物种的 SNPs 基因进行特征化,可能有助于提升检测和诊断策略的优化,并增进我们对宿主特异性途径的理解。
