The rice landrace, Changmaogu was collected from the coastal beach in Guangdong province, China, and shows strong salt tolerance at the germination and seedling stages (over the salt tolerance of Pokalli, an internationally recognized classic salt tolerant rice variety). This study goals is to understand the regulatory processes and the corresponding metabolic pathways.
