Intervention mechanisms of yoga exercise on female self-objectification: the mediating role of short video addiction

Objective: This study investigated the intervention effects of yoga exercise on short video addiction and self-objectification in women and its mechanisms.
The study was completed in a yoga classroom at a university in Xi'an, using a quasi-experimental design, where subjects were divided into an experimental group (yoga intervention) and a control group (no intervention) based on their scores on the Self-Objectification Questionnaire and the Short Video Addiction Scale to ensure that there was no significant difference in the level of self-objectification and short video addiction among the subjects in the two groups. The independent variable was group, the dependent variable was self-objectification, and the mediating variable was short video addiction. Where both self-objectification and short video addiction levels were measured by questionnaire form. The whole experiment lasted for 8 weeks .
