资源简介:

This dataset and accompanying Python code support a retrospective, longitudinal study of power balance and bilateral power-phase width during routine outdoor cycling by one experienced amateur cyclist. The analytical dataset comprises 25,064 non-overlapping 30-second blocks from 253 recordings collected during 2023–2026, representing approximately 208.9 hours of retained analytical intervals. Measurements derived from dual-sided pedal power meters include left-side power contribution, separate left and right power-phase widths, their bilateral difference, power, cadence and recorded riding context. The release contains coded block-level data, variable definitions, numerical results and executable scripts supporting descriptive comparisons, within-recording models, sensitivity analyses and predictive evaluation using withheld recordings. The analyses examine how near-equal power contribution can coexist with different bilateral phase widths, how the separate phase widths vary with cadence and power, and how consistently these relationships recur across recordings and operating conditions. Among 11,912 blocks with 49–51% left-side contribution, the median absolute bilateral phase-width difference was 4.53°, and 46.7% exceeded a descriptive 5° threshold. Context-adjusted comparisons between 80 and 90 rpm at 200 W indicated phase-width increases of 5.32° on the left and 3.52° on the right, producing a bilateral contrast of 1.80°. The shared materials support reproduction of the block-level analyses; original FIT files containing identifying and location information are retained separately. Findings describe one cyclist’s commercial pedal measurements under self-selected outdoor conditions and do not establish causal effects, optimal technique, clinical thresholds or population reference values.
