Number of chlamydia infection cases in Sweden 2008-2018, by gender

The number of chlamydia infection cases among women was higher than the number of infections among men during all years in the period from 2008 to 2018. The highest number for both men and women was in 2008, when around 23.5 thousand cases was reported among women and around 18.2 thousand cases among men. In 2018, the number was lower, with around 17.7 thousand cases reported among women and around 14.2 thousand reported infections among men.
