Number of Japanese residents in Suzhou 2013-2018

Close to 5.2 thousand Japanese residents were registered in the Chinese city Suzhou as of October 2018. The number considerably declined within the surveyed period.The statistic, which is based on the information gathered by Japanese diplomatic missions abroad, does not include descendants of Japanese emigrants (nikkeijin) who do not hold Japanese citizenship. People with multiple citizenship are counted.
