Abd al-Rahman Taha (97 years old from Nahalin) interviewed by Nader Najajra on 29 October 1998. He describes the following: Ottomans were good but the British were not as they created conflict among the Arabs and turned them against each other; locust year and how they covered the sun; spread of diseases during World War I such as cholera and typhoid; ‘seferberlik’ – Ottoman military conscription.
