Pericarp wax was an important economiccharacterinfruit quality, especially for cucumber. Cucumber scion grafted onto suit pumpkin rootstock was proved as an effective approach to behavior glossyby changingthe pericarp wax content, whereas the caused reason remainsunknown. In present study, an associated analysis by transcriptome and genome wide DNA methylation sequencing were performed on pericarp of grafted cucumber JingYan 118 onto JingXinZhen 6 pumpkin rootstock, as well as of the self-rooted JingYan 118.
