Gut metagenome of bamboo rats. Rhizomys pruinosus

This study aims to unveil the mechanisms of adaptation of the gut microbiome and host metabolic systems in the degradation of lignocellulose in bamboo rats. This study involved stages from the unweaned period to the specific bamboo-eating period in bamboo rats, and integrated multi-omic measurements including microbiomes from several gut segments, serum metabolome, and the host transcriptome.
