The assessment of microbiological purity of cosmetic preparations

The dataset contains the results of a single series of determinations of the microbiological purity of the cosmetic based on the aqueous phase in the test for the total number of bacteria and the total number of yeasts.The tests were performed by preparing a series of decimal dilutions of the cosmetic in peptone water and performing in-depth culture using PCA and Sabouraud media dedicated to the propagation of bacteria and yeast, respectively. The results obtained in the form of a lack of bacterial and fungal colonies on suitable culture medium for the undiluted sample means that the tested cosmetic is microbiologically pure (no colony forming units per mL of cosmetic).
