Solid Waste Detection and Classification DataSet

This dataset has been developed for the purpose of solid waste detection and classification using experimental approaches. It comprises a curated collection of waste images representing multiple categories, including biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and recyclable materials. The data were collected from diverse real-world environments to ensure variability in lighting conditions, backgrounds, object orientation, and scale. Each image in the dataset is labeled according to its respective waste category to facilitate supervised learning tasks such as classification and object detection. The dataset has been pre-processed to remove noise and ensure consistency in format and resolution. This dataset is intended to support research in environmental sustainability, smart waste management systems, and artificial intelligence-based waste segregation. It can be utilized for training, validation, and benchmarking of machine learning and deep learning models.
