Seawater samples were collected at 5 depths: surface, thermocline, deep chlorophyll maximum, suboxic and euxinic zone at 12 stations across the sampling grid in the Black Sea. Prokaryotic taxonomic diversity and niche partitioning was studied across the oxic/anoxic interface.
