Sampling of invertebrates associated with macrophytes: a review

Results of a systematic search of articles developed in Brazil and published in Google Scholar and Scielo (did in Portuguese and in English, with invertebrates OR macrophytes/phytophilous/Brazil as keywords) involving studies about invertebrates associated with macrophytes in Brazilian ecosystems. We synthetized the results related to the sampling method, the unit used to express the quantitative values of the fauna associated, the sampler dimension and mesh size, the habitat where the work was developed and the macrophyte species and fauna groups involved in each work. The search showed that there are studies using samplers constructed with different materials and with varying mesh sizes and dimensions. DW- dry weight, WW- wet weight.<br>
