DRS Ethiopia survey

Ethiopia conducted its third national anti-tuberculosis (TB) drug resistant survey (DRS) to obtain up-to-date information regarding the magnitude and pattern of drug resistance against first- and second-line anti-TB drugs in the country. Whole genome sequencing (WGS) was performed to detect resistance-conferring mutations for rifampicin resistant TB, isoniazid resistant TB, as well as for a random selection of rifampicin-susceptible M. tuberculosis strains.
