In this work we investigated the function of CHR729 in nucleosome positioning, histone methylation, H2A.Z deposition and its genome-wide binding by high throughput approaches. The results pinpoint different chromatin mechanisms employed by CHR729 to regulate gene expression, provide chromatin insight into regulation of poised gene expression, and suggest a unique chromatin function of CHR729 compared with that of other CHD chromatin remodelers
