An open access human-induced load dataset

Vibration serviceability and safety problems due to human-induced loads are becoming more and more significant for designing light structures such as long-span floors, pedestrian bridges and cantilever stands. Experimental records are very important for understanding dynamic properties of the loads and for developing reliable mathematical load model. This project provides 3518 records of human-induced loads, mainly including walking, jumping and bouncing loads of individual and crowd. Researchers and engineers can use the database to better solve practical problems by time history analysis. It’s also expected that the database can foster collaboration among researchers and deeper the understanding of the mechanisms of human-induced loads.
