Isolate PM655 represents a strain of P. mirabilis which caused a cluster of 18 infections identified at St. James's Hospital, Dublin, Ireland in 2013. In order to identify strain-associated antibiotic resistance and virulence genes underpinning the clonal expansion of this strain, de novo assembly of PM655 was performed. PM655 was isolated from a mid-stream sample of urine and exhibits resistance to multiple antibiotics.
