Infant nasal swab Raw sequence reads

Infant nasal swab samples were collected at 3 months and 1 year of age from a subset of the CHILD Cohort. Samples were characterized by amplicon sequencing of the V3 region of the 16S rRNA gene.A primary aim of this project is to examine whether infant microbiome colonization is one of the paths through which breastfeeding is associated with respiratory health. Further, we aim to assess whether the establishment of infant nasal microbiota adheres to consistent patterns as compared to infant gut microbiota and microbial functional profiles. This project also utilizes infant stool data from both 16S rRNA gene sequencing (PRJNA657821) and shotgun metagenomics (PRJNA838575).
