Reclamation Land Ownership

The Land Ownership Asset Class layer represents the spatial boundaries and key attributes of land owned by the Bureau of Reclamation. It is part of the Enterprise Asset Registry used to support asset management, infrastructure planning, risk assessment, and operational decision-making. Each feature in the layer corresponds to a land parcel and includes associated metadata such as acquisition interest, acquisition date, region, and GIS acres. The dataset is maintained by Reclamation’s Asset Management Office and is updated periodically to reflect changes in infrastructure status and inventory. Definitions Acquired Land (Acquisition): Any land procured in fee by purchase, donation, condemnation, acquisition by and transferred from another Federal agency, exchange, or other acquisition method to support Reclamation project purposes. This definition excludes withdrawn Land, transferred Land previously withdrawn by the transferring agency, and easements.
