Raw sequences to test a method for cryopreservation and resuscitation for natural aquatic microbial assemblages.

In this study, we propose a method for cryopreservation and resuscitation for natural aquatic microbial assemblages in either sterile filtered seawater or artificial seawater with DOM supplements that were extracted from seawater. For this study, we harvested communities from the Northwest coast of the Mediterranean Sea: a coastal station and a closely located coastal lagoon, which are contrasting concerning their trophic status and environmental variability. Specifically, we assessed whether diversity and community composition can be maintained in the dependency of the inoculum and culture medium.
