Public Summary
This project aims to install automated cameras at the Southern Giant Petrel (SGP) breeding site(s) on the Frazier Islands and to use the series of pictures taken by the cameras to assess the SGP's breeding population status, level, and trend and the colony's breeding chronology.
Project objectives:
Install automated cameras at Southern Giant Petrel breeding site(s) on the Frazier Islands to take photographs throughout a 12 month period from November 2009 to November 2010.
To use the pictures to assess the breeding population of Southern Giant Petrels at the Frazier Islands, including the population status, level, trend and breeding chronology.
A document providing details about the camera installation is available for download, whereas the photographs themselves are available on request to the chief investigator.
