Open Educational Resources for Grade 5 to 7 Environmental and Sustainability Education

The purpose of this dataset is to evaluate and map alignment of various environmental education Open Educational Resources (OER) to the British Columbia (BC) provincial curriculum framework, specifically targeting Grades 5 through 7. Resources identified in this dataset have been uploaded to the <a href="https://oercommons.org/curated-collections/1953">OER Commons: Climate Hub (BC Collection)</a> to serve as a curated list of resources for educators, curriculum developers, and researchers. <br><br>

The dataset consists of structured, tabular data (provided in csv format) detailing curriculum analysis of 166 distinct educational resources, including lesson and unit plans. For each resource, the dataset captures:

<li>OER title, subject area, main topics, grade level suitability, resource type, license type, and access URLs.</li>
<li>yes/no evaluations mapping the resource to the four pillars of BC curriculum: Core/Sub-Core Competencies, Big Ideas, Learning Standards, and First People Principles of Learning.</li>
</ul>
The OERs analyzed to create the tabular data are included in a zipped folder.
