Spatiotemporal imaging atlas reveals the regional specification of the mural cells in a mouse model

Despite the importance of the mural cells (pericytes and smooth muscle cells) in vascular formation and blood-brain barrier maintenance, a comprehensive summary and analysis of significant distinctions of mural cells have not been undertaken. Here we perform 3-dimentional confocal immunofluorescence imaging to draw the mural cells atlas across different organs employing a PDGFR β-Cre(+/-):Rosa26-tDTomato(+/-) transgenic mice.
