Transcriptome dataset of Cocos nucifera shoot-tip tissues of late stage germinated fruit

Purpose: To identify genes expressed in coconut (Cocos nucifera L.) shoot-tip tissues during the late stage of germination using the NGS Technology approach.Methods: RNA samples were prepared from shoot-tip tissues excised at three late stages of coconut seedling germination. A pooled cDNA library was constructed and sequenced on Illumina HiSeqTM 2000 platform.Results: Raw sequence data for the assembly of transcriptome datasets of coconut (Cocos nucifera L.) shoot-tip tissues originating from the late stage of germination are provided.
