Repository Description This repository contains the raw source data associated with the manuscript: “Early life chronic stress-disrupted activity of the dorsal raphe nucleus selectively drives behavioral impairments.” The datasets include behavioral and in vivo neuronal activity recordings used in all primary analyses reported in the manuscript. Data Organization All files begin with the prefix manuscript_data and are organized into four primary datasets: 1. Anxiety Sampling Dataset (_Anxiety) This dataset contains behavioral metrics collected during anxiety-related behavioral testing. Common variables: Animal_id – unique animal identifier group – experimental group Behavioral measures include: Time spent in centrum, shallow arm, and deep arm Frequency of entries into each region Latency to enter each region Distance moved Mean velocity All variables are numeric and represent individual animal-level measurements. 2. Behavioral Habituation – Baseline (_BehavHabituation_BASELINE) This dataset contains locomotor and time-series data collected prior to stimulus presentation. Variables include: Real-time measurements Processed (corrected and scaled) time variables Distance moved Data are structured at the sampling level and linked to individual animals via Animal_id. 3. Behavioral Habituation – Stimulus Condition (_BehavHabituation_STIMULI) This dataset contains behavioral data collected before and during stimulus exposure. Additional variables: stimulus_id – identifier for the applied stimulus stimulus_period – indicates whether data were recorded before or during stimulus presentation Includes: Real-time and processed time variables Distance moved 4. Dorsal Raphe Nucleus (DRN) Neuronal Activity Dataset (_DRN_Activity) This dataset contains single-neuron in vivo calcium imaging data recorded from the dorsal raphe nucleus. Variables include: Animal_id – animal identifier group – experimental group Neuron_id – neuron identifier Sample_id – recording/sample identifier Absolute position (µm) Normalized position (distance from the rostral-most 5-HT DRN neuron, in µm) GABAergic phenotype classification stim_* columns – stimulus-evoked calcium responses expressed as ΔF/F (%) Each row corresponds to an individual neuron. 5. Supplementary Figure Data This dataset contains processed data, served as the source of figures in the published manuscript.
