Dolichospermum planktonicum NRERC-101 was isolated from Gangjeong-Goryeong weir area of Nakdong River, Korea in 2017. This strain produces geosmin. 16S rRNA (Accession No. MG232648.1), ITS1, 2 (Accession No. MG881799.1, MG845265.1), rbcLX (Accession No. MT430913.1) and geoA (Accession No. MH383246.1) sequences of this strain are registered in NCBI GenBank. The whole genome of this strain was sequenced to seek proper genes for geological comparison of Dolichospermum genotypes.
