Here we used the PacBio HiFi, Illumina HiC and Illumina TruSeq Synthetic Long Read sequencing technology to survey the sugarcane genome (variety SP80-3280). The generated long reads aided in the genome assembly of this crop, and in identifying specific homologous/homeologous chromosome fragments.
