Canadian E. coli genomes harbouring ESC-R genes

This study aimed to made publicly available the short-read data for 17 extended-spectrum cephalosporin resistance (ESC-R) E. coli genomes from animal and wastewater origin. These genomes are part of a study investigating the mechanism of ESC-R transmission, in which short-reads and long-read were used to generate complete chromosome and plasmid assemblies. Short read sequences were obtained using MiSeq, NextSeq and HiSeq technology (Illumina, San Diego, CA).
