The dataset contains the results related to the plasma-mediated treatment of antimicrobial agents containing nitro groups. The process involved the appliaction of dielectric barrier discharge for the simultaneous synthesis of rhenium nanoparticles and decomposition of chloramphenicol and furazolidone. This approach enabled achieving a dual effect that involved both, elimination of pharmaceutical concentrations and reduction of nitro moieties contained in the structures thereof.The research was carried out within Sonata 15 project (UMO-2019/35/D/ST8/04107) financed by National Science Center (Poland).The set of data contains:UV-Vis spectra of samples processed in the plasma system.EDX spectra recorded during TEM analysis.pH values and nitrites concentrations determined for the processed samples.XPS spectra of the treated solutions.
