The land types are divided into secondary categories as follows: paddy field, dry land, closed forest land, shrub land, sparse forest land, other forest land, high-coverage grassland, medium-coverage grassland, low-coverage grassland, rivers and canals, lakes, reservoirs and ponds, permanent glacier and snow land, tidal flat, beach land, urban land, rural settlements, other construction land, sandy land, gobi, saline-alkali land, swamp land, bare land, bare rock and gravel land, and others. Specifically, cultivated land, including both paddy fields and dry lands, is classified based on landforms into four categories: mountainous, hilly, plain, and slopes with an inclination greater than 25 degrees. The data scale is 1:100,000.
