Data from Engagement with Urban Heritage and Contemporary Architecture: The Case of Open House Thessaloniki, Greece

This dataset was compiled and analysed in the context of the research project ‘Engagement with Urban Heritage and Contemporary Architecture: The Case of Open House Thessaloniki, Greece’. The dataset includes three sets of data: first, visitation numbers for each site included in the Open House Thessaloniki Open Tours from 2016 until 2025 (except for the years 2020 and 2021 when the festival did not take place in its normal format due to COVID restrictions; in Greek; including site name and total number of visits during each event) by year and aggregated in seven chronological groups for the purposes of further analysis; second, anonymised demographic data of Open House Thessaloniki participants for every site included in the event in 2024 and 2025 (in Greek and in English; including type of registration, date and time of entry; site name; gender; age group; professional affiliation with architecture; educational attainment; place of residence; past participation in the event); third, the transcript of an interview with a member of the organising committee of the event (in Greek).
