Streamflow Maintenance in NH Wetlands (Derived from NWI Plus)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset models the capacity of wetlands across New Hampshire to perform the hydrologic function of streamflow maintenance—the ability to retain and gradually release water to help sustain stream and river base flows during dry periods. Derived from the National Wetlands Inventory Plus (NWI Plus) dataset and maintained by the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES), this layer integrates geomorphic, hydrologic, and ecological variables to identify wetlands that play a key role in water flow regulation. The dataset serves as a valuable tool for watershed planning, environmental conservation, climate resilience, and water resource management. It is best used for landscape-scale assessments, with field verification recommended for regulatory or engineering applications.
