We propose a coordinated Xray, optical and mm campaign to measure the emissionduring and outside periastron for one of the brightest eccentric T Tauri binarysystems, V1878 Ori. This multiwavelength study, by probing complementarydiagnostics from different parts of the interacting stellar magnetospheres, andby enabling a direct comparison with magnetic field models, allows us tocharacterise coronal interactions during periastron passage and thusmagnetospheric interactions in PMS binaries.
