SAL008 - Butlih Salawati - Conversational questionnaires (Dialogues B 'Preparing for the new year' and E 'A boy falls')

This dataset contains two dialogues elicited using the Conversational Questionnaire method (François 2019, 'A proposal for conversational questionnaires') for Butlih Salawati with Siti Hariani Klasin (born 1983), a native speaker of Butlih Salawati. The dialogues were Dialogues B ('Preparing for the new year') and E ('A boy falls'). The session was recorded on 3 December 2019, in Kalobo village (Salawati island, Raja Ampat regency, Southwest Papua province, Indonesia). The recording of this session is split across two audio files, SAL008-01 and SAL008-02. This dataset relates to the British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship 'Synchronic and diachronic investigations in Raja Ampat-South Halmahera, a little-known subbranch of Austronesian' (PF19\100004); additional fieldwork funds were provided by a British Academy Small Grant (SG1920\100342).
